Challenge
A large healthcare network worked with audit processes that were separated from one another and with insufficient monitoring of internal controls. Preparing SOX-related evidence was laborious; long audit cycles made a reliable overview difficult.
Solution
Documenting controls centrally
Innowise developed a platform that consolidates internal controls, automates tests and tracks the handling of deviations. Documentation and remediation therefore sit in one shared working context.
Connecting evidence and anomalies
The solution uses Hyperledger Fabric for traceable audit trails and AI to detect anomalies in financial transactions. Reports support the audit processes in the context of SOX Section 404. The diagram shows functional relationships, not a complete deployment architecture.
A control cycle with traceable evidence
Controls: Document → Tests: Automate; Tests: Automate → Deviations: Assess; Deviations: Assess → Remediation: Track; Remediation: Track → Controls: Document; Controls: Document → Audit trail: Secure evidence; Deviations: Assess → Audit trail: Secure evidence.
Technologies
- Python / Hyperledger Fabric
- AWS / SQL Server / Kubernetes
- Power BI / Selenium
Results
What is documented is centralized control documentation, automated tests and the tracking of remediation. A specific shortening of the audit cycles or a passed certification is not quantified in this case description.
- Central control documentation
- Automated tests
- Traceable remediation and audit trails
